October 2026

Elle Decoration, Period Living & Livingetc

This October, we're taking a moment to get to know our founder, Tom Raffield, starting with a detailed profile in Period Living. Tom caught up with journalist Kitty Corrigan to chat about his journey to date, from discovering steam-bending to his passion for traditional craftsmanship and innovative design. You'll also get a glimpse inside the workshop and see steam-bending in action, as well as discover Tom's favourite design - the No.1 Pendant, the very first product he ever made.

On a personal note, Tom recently shared the story behind one of his most treasured possessions with Elle Decoration: a hand-carved wooden toy sword, made by one of his very first apprentices. It might be a simple object, but it holds a special place in Tom's story, reflecting his love of craftsmanship and the people, memories and moments that make an object truly meaningful.

Featured in both print and online, discover the story behind Tom's treasured sword here.

Interiors shoots are always a favourite, and here the Verso Pendant was beautifully styled by Hannah Bort for Elle Decoration's 'Into the Woods' shoot, celebrating the beauty of timber and the designers pushing the boundaries of what's possible with this ancient material.

To round off our October issue highlights, Tom sat down with Livingetc Executive Editor Pip McCormack to share his top lighting tips for the lighting special, with the Loer Pendant Trio Cluster taking centre stage.
