Job Purpose

To provide daily support to the Logistics Supervisor covering all aspects of packing and logistics, ensuring the success of all out-going deliveries. An excellent standard of quality control, attention to detail, productivity and the ability to support all elements of stock control, as well as day-to-day shipping tasks, is crucial to this role.


Key areas of responsibility:

To provide daily support to the Logistics Supervisor with the following:

Work with a daily list of delivery and shipping priorities, picking stock and packing boxes to ensure daily dispatch schedule is met.

Have a strong understanding of different packing requirements for different products.

Ensuring goods and orders are packed and ready to be picked up in good time.

Labelling of all pallets to ensure couriers can collect and deliver items without issue or further concern.

Take pride in the customer experience, and an understanding of its importance in the brand story and customer loyalty.

Assist in daily orders to ensure the logistical operation targets are met.

Support the processing of returns.

Communicate with team and cross-departments when issues arise which may affect quality control and daily shipment of orders.

Assist with stock movement within logistics area.

Update container plans.

Replenish stock when appropriate.

Assembly of pallets.

Ensure the workspace operates with efficiency.

Always adhere to health and safety protocol.


Desirable skills

Have experience in delivery logistics.

Have previous warehouse and / or stock room management experience.

Have a background in product handling and the different packing requirements.

Have an appreciation and awareness of customer care and experiences.

Be able to plan and prioritise tasks against strict time frames.

Be meticulous with detail and problem solve if issues arise and know how best to resolve against measured results and planned outcomes.

Know when to seek support from the Logistics Supervisor should situations present themselves that require approval from other team leaders of departments.

Be a quick learner and enjoy working in a fast-paced team.

Have good numeracy, literacy and IT skills.

Be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Be hardworking, committed and interested in the challenge of working for an exciting young business experiencing rapid growth.
